The Belaire, Gurgaon

We live in one of the most socially active condominiums in Gurgaon, I think. The organising committee is super active and actually pulls off some nice events for the residents here. One such was a drawing competition for kids. We took Myra. The theme was ‘friendship’ and Myra drew balloons, upside down. Very very seriosuly. :)

Mornings at home

My mornings at home with these two are usually crazy, especially now that Myra has holidays. Myra wants to lay and cuddle and scream and I want to sleep in or start on some work. Either ways, it’s so much fun! We wake up super late (8-8:30 usually, sometimes even 9) hence i’m obviously dreading school re-opening. These pictures are of few such lazy  mornings at home. V found a box with packaging thermocol material at work and brought it for Myra as a surprise, she is ecstatic about it. I love how lil nothings make such special play things for kids. :)papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs papermagictwiigs

Delhi Palate Festival

When the air is cool and crisp and the sun shines a golden hue, it’s a perfect time to chill at a park with some awesome food, company and drinks. We spent the entire day at the festival and it was worth it! Myra has a blast running around and when we played out our sheet and chilled on the grass, she went into a hyper mode of acting (she loves pretend play currently) she gave us presents – ‘now open it’ , ‘and wow, what is this?’ ‘sugar!!!’ she will say while jumping with utter joy!! She’s such a delight. Avika was sweet as ever and was quite entertained with all the colourful sights around. We also got to caught up with our dear friend Nitin from INSEAD, which was great fun.

Look of the day –

I wore Pero and Zara skirt, Myra wore Zara and H&M shorts, Avika wore Mothercare and my bag is a beach bag from Accessorise. I love it, because it’s massive spacious!! :) We use strollers from Mamas & Papas and McLarren

Serendipity Store Delhi

Last weekend we found ourselves taking, what seemed like, a bit of an exotic drive. Off the MG road, towards Jaunpur village, around 10 mins of drive, past the farmhouses and little shops, we found this place tucked in a corner of a street. With the big blue door and a little board with the name on top.

It’s a kothi, now transformed into a store which pans over two floors and a lovely terrace where they now have Sunday Brunch. Which is exactly what we had gone for. We parked ourselves in the shade and ordered our cokes and juices. The idea for the brunch is that they invite a different chef every sunday – and have food prepared by their kitchen. So, every sunday is different food to look forward to! Priced at 1500 Rs, while the brunch is not your typical huge spread, it is quite delicious I have to say. We got to have – mezze platter, pasta, paranthas, breads, fruit and salad. And we finished off with some really nice pancakes served with honey and jam. In winters, it’s the perfect kind of a get away – on a nice sunny rooftop, on a terrace away from home! :) The store is perfect for picking up – clothes, kid’s wear, home decor stuff etc.
The host and owner – Kuldeep, joined us for a chit-chat and Myra completely took her instantly. In fact, she often talks about her and now ‘Kuldee’ even features in her drawings!! :) Myra has this connection with a few people, where she will just instantly become very good friends with them. It’s like they have known each other before.

This is Serendipity store in Delhi, MG road. Please make reservations before going. Also, this place can be rented for events.
