Cherry Blossom {a poem in time}

I love Cherry Blossom trees. How can one not. I think they are one of the saddest, most beautiful looking things ever. Also called `Sakura’ they even have a celebration around them in Japan called Hanami. 

While in China it represents femininity, power, innocence and sexuality; in Japan it is a symbol of transience and fragility of life. It’s short beautiful bloom has inspired many poets and artists. And lovers and dreamers….

    even though i use the cherry blossom in my paintings i never knew what they symbolized… i love the japanese symbolism the most. thank you so much for including my piece in this lovely post.

    Yes most of my photos are on flickr. What do you mean by “flickr banned”? I’ve never heard of it. Why does being in Dubai mean you can’t view Flickr photos?

    I’ve never heard of that.. please explain. I can try to use an alternative soon.
